Perspex Petal Sign with Gold Frame DIY
Oh this has gone down such a treat. My influences came from realising the white text on the perspex is beautiful, but you need to get a great background to really make it stand out. I have been considering delicate fabrics to try and experiment with. After my wonderful event with friends and family over the weekend to celebrate the new book, i came home with oodles of flowers. Thank you to my 3 year old for picking the petals off of one, it set that lightbulb off! She helped me harvest all of the petals, and you can see her cheeky arms in the video giving mummy a helping hand.
I hope you like it, I loved making it.
You will need
A large frame
2 Perspex sheets
Petals
Signwriting pen (recommendations are in our book)
Book available here
Harvest the petals and sandwich between two sheets of perspex, spread them out heavy in the middle to get a good blanket, then scatter around the outside. You could spray an adhesive if you need some extra protection to keep these in place. Fix perspex into your frame and decorate with modern signwriting.
